Whoever or whereever you roam, I am thankful our encoutner happened here, be it through a read on a post or actual interaction with you though reponses or perhaps a ☕Chat Zoom or perhaps something the Creators hosted.
In Cath-O-land it is the 1st Sunday of Advent and the begining of a new litrugical year. New beginnings are a great thing, you don't need a new year or a reason to have one. The challange always seems to be the building upon those new days, their constant renewal and potential growth to some goal, ideal, unrelaized dream or hope for what your lasting tomorrow might be. You can't live a life of growth with nothing but new beginnings nor can you live of life with no new beginnings as your morph into a living fossil. I guess some have done one or the other extreme and probably reaped the dissastifaction such attitudes tend to engender. Perhaps some have no follow through for the building of habits or the desire to examine life in such a way as to solitic change & growth. I tend to hope the vast majority of people fall in the middle but suffer distraction or preoccupation that prevent them from opening the invitation. Well, I am sure I could ramble on longer, but why torture you when I can save that for my captive parishioners? 😉🤣 On to the morning quote and the last of the Thanksgiving images from Leyendecker & Rockwell. I am sure they will return as we near Christmas. Happy Sunday Friends!
The bliss of growth,
the glory of action,
the splendour of beauty,

every yesterday a dream of happiness
and every tomorrow a vision of hope.
Look well therefore to this day!
Such is the salutation of the dawn.

Despite his later criticisms against the Church, Voltaire, throughout his life, fondly recalled his dedicated Jesuit teachers.
Although he spent time as a civil servant in the French embassy to the Hague, Voltaire’s main love was writing—an endeavor where he excelled in various genres, including poetry, which led to his appointment as the royal court poet for King Louis XV. Widely recognized as one of the greatest French writers, and even hyperbolically referred to by ...
