Good Morning Digital Neighbors & Friends! I hope everyone had a good weekend. Mine was blessed with exceptional ordinariness with a dash of surprise with the visit of @Jimbolaya and meeting a Local's neighbor outside of the parish family. I am so thankful for the blend of parishioners and Local's subscribers to the community. The Coffee Chats & Speakeasies have been a real joy as well, it adds another layer of connection when you hear a person's voice or even see them thanks to the wonders of technology. Happy Monday Friends - Off to the quotes and some winter photo out there somewhere!

A fascinating Frenchmen and a good warning - growth in knowledge without growth in humility usually just puts one on the path of conceit. Too many degreed and jargonized individuals think they have plenty of good ideas, so good that many can't recognize their genius without punitive imposition. Anger is very similar to cussing, those who use it infrequently can wield it with greatest effect, those who overuse it diminish its impact. I like passion - we all need it to maintain the worthwhile fights in life, discerning the worthwhile ones is the challenge.

Despite his later criticisms against the Church, Voltaire, throughout his life, fondly recalled his dedicated Jesuit teachers.
Although he spent time as a civil servant in the French embassy to the Hague, Voltaire’s main love was writing—an endeavor where he excelled in various genres, including poetry, which led to his appointment as the royal court poet for King Louis XV. Widely recognized as one of the greatest French writers, and even hyperbolically referred to by ...
