FRIDAY! FRIDAY! FRIDAY! Good Morning Digital Neighbors & Friends! Well another week is heading into the rear view mirror. I hope this Easter Week has brought you plenty of chocolates bunnies, jelly beans, peeps (no longer an Easter thing and that is WRONG?!?!?!) and the best of the Easter diabetic training diet, malted eggs. Alrighty, since we visited with Jung and it has been some good food for thought. How about a Jung finisher for Friday? On to the quote!
Where wisdom reigns, there is no conflict between thinking and feeling.
If this statement is true, it explains why we live in a such an age of disorder. We have abandoned most conventional & tested wisdom and have become addicts of new and non-conventional thinking. We have become a culture that has lost it dynamic balance of the healthy interplay of preserving conservatives, creative liberals and the much need stabilizing moderates.
Feelings have replaced thinking, thinking has been distorted & dismissed and the absurd often becomes the norm. I am a fan of having space for the absurd, but I don't think it should be celebrated at the core of culture. I am not a fan of just becoming Vulcans either and ignoring feelings. While logic and reason could lead to a more mannered society, I doubt it would be a colorful or robust one. The dance of thinking & feeling, much like the healthy interplay in communities of conservative, liberals and moderates, leads to balanced, integrated an healthy individuals. Our failure to call certain attitudes, dispositions or mindsets deviant any more is to our detriment. I am not advocating cruelty to the deviants, but catering to them is not working. More wisdom is needed to continue a society that is both compassionate and courageous. Happy Friday my friends!

Despite his later criticisms against the Church, Voltaire, throughout his life, fondly recalled his dedicated Jesuit teachers.
Although he spent time as a civil servant in the French embassy to the Hague, Voltaire’s main love was writing—an endeavor where he excelled in various genres, including poetry, which led to his appointment as the royal court poet for King Louis XV. Widely recognized as one of the greatest French writers, and even hyperbolically referred to by ...
Happy National Best Friends Day Y'all!
I strongly suggest combining celebrations for this with National Name Your Poison Day and National Jelly-Filled Doughnut Day. Think I'll have to wash a custard doughnut down with a cold beer later.
