Good Morning Digital Neighbors from a across Locals! All you dear Supporters, Members and Lurkers at Rubin Report, Phetasy, Triggernometry and Padre's. I enjoy using all my little affectations when speaking with you, but sometimes it is good to just keep it simple. Joining Locals in 2019 on the Rubin Report has turned into a real surprise and blessing. I didn't think it would become a daily thing (except Lent) for me to visit and engage. I didn't think it would be a platform where I would really connect with others in any meaningful way. Being a bit jaded from chatrooms of the 90's and the toxicity of Farcebook after 2016 with the end of freedom caused by the election of the Evil Orange, my bar was set pretty low.
Rubin Report turned out to be so much better than expected, and then joining Phetasy & Triggernometry during the dark days of the shutdown keep my sense of humor intact. I have met so many good people on these sites. Humanity is a mess, but there is still a world of good souls to discover, meet and from time to time befriend. Thank you all, known and unknown who have blessed my ventures on here and have brightened my day, made me laugh, given me cause to ponder and wonder and opened up your own lives in this limited but amazing format. It is easy to cultivate gratitude everyday for the abundant blessings I find in my parish life and the community I have found here. Happy Sunday Localities!💖💖💖

His brilliant mind was fostered in the care of the Society of Jesus, who introduced him to the joys of literature and theater. Despite his later criticisms against the Church, Voltaire, throughout his life, fondly recalled his dedicated Jesuit teachers.
Although he spent time as a civil servant in the French embassy to the Hague, Voltaire’s main love was writing—an endeavor where he excelled in various genres, including poetry, which led to his appointment as the royal court poet for King Louis XV. Widely recognized as one of the greatest French writers, and even hyperbolically referred to by ...
