Blessed First Sunday of Advent to all who celebrate and mark this season of preparation for both the End Times (it can't come soon enough) and the Incarnation of the Word. I know I even sound more drastic than the 2% survivors among humanity when I want it 100% over. What comes after is the best that is yet to come for those seeking mercy & truth. If mercy (which requires contrition and amendment of attitude and behavior to be effective) is beyond one's will, then the best may not be coming. One will is going to be validated in the End, your will or the Mysterium's will.
The other part we celebrate too much in its commercial dimensions - the Christ-Mass is just a means for more materialism rather than personal growth and making a gift of yourself rather that purchasing them. Dangerous questions to ask - how can I make myself a better gift to you, how can I make our relationship a better gift in our shared life? I suspect many more are prone to wanting to deliver a list of suggested improvements for others with little self-awareness of how they need to grow and change for the better.
Blessed First Sunday of Advent to all - Believer or Skeptic, Seeker or Lost, Curious or Bored, Pilgrims or Wanderers - Blessed Advent!
