Good Morning Digitial Neighbors! Happy Tuesday ADD Irregulars, WSN Aficionados, Friends & Refugees, Phamily & Misfits, Conversants, Lurkers and all the rest of you Seekers, Wanderers or Lost on Locals. It has been a while since I have posted over on Rubin Report & Phetasy and mainly focused on Padre's in the last month as I prepared to begin a new assignment. Well the transfer has happened and I hit the ground running (well more like walking janklely these days as a pace but hardly a run) and dive into the life of Queen of Peace and St. Anthony. There is still tons of unpacking and house making to do, but that will take place at pace with the demands of ministry. It is a new beginning and I look forward to the surprises that the Luminous and life will drop into my lap or set on my path.
A poem and a barn to start our August rolling. Have a great day my dear neighbors and where ever you may find yourself on life's path, may it hold unexpected surprises and goodness for you today.
Stepping into the Promised Unknown
May your lives open to all the sweetness
You have hidden away, fearing it might betray you
May you embrace each tomorrow
With wonder and delight
May your questions guide you toward humility
That you might learn to discern what is sacred
May you nurture the courage to choose wisely
So that justice and compassion might shape
The arc of your story, the circles
In which you are called to dance.
And may you learn to listen
To the whisperings of your angels
Urging you, as they do, to live ever closer
To the tremulous aching of your heart’s insistent song.

His brilliant mind was fostered in the care of the Society of Jesus, who introduced him to the joys of literature and theater. Despite his later criticisms against the Church, Voltaire, throughout his life, fondly recalled his dedicated Jesuit teachers.
Although he spent time as a civil servant in the French embassy to the Hague, Voltaire’s main love was writing—an endeavor where he excelled in various genres, including poetry, which led to his appointment as the royal court poet for King Louis XV. Widely recognized as one of the greatest French writers, and even hyperbolically referred to by ...
