Good Afternoon Digital Neighbors! Happy Saturday and first day of Autumn to all you ADD Irregulars, WSN Curators, Friends & Refugees, PHAM & Misfits, Conversants & Lurkers, Wanderers, Seekers and Lost. Whoever you are and wherevers you are, I am glad we crossed paths here.
Autumn is my favorite season, few things can compete with the changes that Autumn brings in life. I love the foliage, the final gasp of nature before the winter, the brisk mornings and evenings that make hoodies and bonfires so appealing and fields being cleared at various harvest times. Few seasons remind us that change can be a beautiful thing and that even letting go can yield a harvest rather than just a loss. Autumn and all its joys are one of those things in life that heals my soul and self.
I hope you have a list of the things that heal your soul and self. Life is always pulling at us, and more often than not it is feeling of being pulled apart or pulled away from that mysterious center where we find peace and reasonable contentment. Reasonable contentment, not complacency, nor resignation, but a feeling of being rooted in a good place in your life even with all its imperfections. Life is far from perfect, and we live in a clown world, but that need not shake us from the sense of contentment that can come from the things that heal soul and self.
My list
Faith and all that it entails, no surprise there.
Laughter, the shortest distance between two people
Friends, those dearest to me and the many more in close orbit
Beauty, in nature, in music, in people, in the arts
Animals, especially my pets
Good stories, in books, movies or played in RPGs
What's you list? I don't really expect a response, just an invitation to examine you own list of the things that make us whole.

His brilliant mind was fostered in the care of the Society of Jesus, who introduced him to the joys of literature and theater. Despite his later criticisms against the Church, Voltaire, throughout his life, fondly recalled his dedicated Jesuit teachers.
Although he spent time as a civil servant in the French embassy to the Hague, Voltaire’s main love was writing—an endeavor where he excelled in various genres, including poetry, which led to his appointment as the royal court poet for King Louis XV. Widely recognized as one of the greatest French writers, and even hyperbolically referred to by ...
