Days of Joy - Give Thanks!
Easter Reflections

Good morning, Digital Neighbors!   Happy Saturday!  Words of wisdom from someone wiser than I.  Happy Saturday my friends! - Padre

GIVE THANKS

So live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about their religion; respect others in their view, and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life, beautify all things in your life.

Seek to make your life long and its purpose in the service of your people. Prepare a noble death song for the day when you go over the great divide. Always give a word or a sign of salute when meeting or passing a friend, even a stranger, when in a lonely place. Show respect to all people and grovel to none.

When you arise in the morning, give thanks for the food and for the joy of living. If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies only in yourself. Abuse no one and no thing, for abuse turns the wise ones to fools and robs the spirit of its vision.

When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

CHIEF TECUMSEH (1768–1813)

Days of Joy - Remembering Judy (Sept)
Easter Reflections

Good morning, Digital Neighbors!   Happy Friday my friends!  Obviously, I forgot to post this yesterday, but here it is today!!!  Yippie Skippie!

Sometimes you only get to know people for a short while, but they leave a lasting memory and mark on your soul.  God has blessed me with a gift for accepting many people where they are in life. It is not a 100% since there are attitudes, behaviors and looks that I can find off-putting or irritating. I’ll be the first to say that when I encounter people espousing the current cultural idiocy we call “WOKE” I don’t have any patience for it. Believe what you want, but I want no part of it.  Shake the dust off my feet, pray for their well-being and move on. If they ever come back, welcome them back to reality.  As my good friend Randy says:  “I don’t do stupid.”

Another person who did not do stupid was Sept. I met Judy through Rubin Report in July of 2020.  She joined Locals that month and noticed my early morning posts. We started having these conversations by post in the morning. I was just reviewing some of them, I was so blessed to know.  I am ever thankful she started commenting on my posts and it opened the door to our friendship.

Days of Joy - Do the difficult
Easter Reflections

Good morning, Digital Neighbors!   Happy Thursday my friends! The quote below has been on my office door since I became a pastor in 2004, but I first encountered Riat Snowden in the mid 90’s and always appreciated her prayers. Enjoy!
