Good Morning Digital Neighbors, I have done some post election clean-up on Locals. Over the years I have supported various content creators often out of appreciation for their work. My biggest complaint about this format was its promise of interaction and often the actual absence of those creators from their communities. I believe they were open to Locals, but more open to the monthly income boost rather that actual interaction with their community. I don't blame or malign them, but it was a disappointment to me. I am thankful for the great free thinkers and curious questioners I have met in many of these communities. The community members are great and I am so thankful for the ones I have connected with in the communities I mention below. Thank you to the host and creators of these communities that have lived up t the Locals promise of free speech, free thought and interaction and involvement with their communities. Thank you for being here for more than just the money.
@DaveRubin - Thank you for the Local's godfather. I am so thankful when Paetreon turn WOKE you had the vision to start Locals. It is part of my daily experience on the internet. My mornings begin with Locals after I finish my morning prayers and looking through e-mails. While I don't pst as often on the Report, I still look through it daily and love the community you have gather here. Having just met @SEPTUAGENARIAN Sept and @THK233 Theresa was enough and there are many others.
@bridgetphetasy Thank you for your continued engagement with Phetasy. While I am not as active your community as I once was. I check in on it every day like Rubin Report. I have met so many good people in this community. I am thankful that @Fred_Bourque @eclecticRPT and a number of other on-line friends came into my life. There so many funny, wonderful, and insightful people in the PHAM.
@ScottAdamsSays Coming back home to Coffee with Scott Adams. I joined your community back in 2020 but orbited out as I wandered to other Locals communities. Having listened to your videos over the last 8 years I must admit that you are the GOAT of Locals when it comes to interacting with your Locals communities. @Fred_Bourque and @AudreyAudrey comments about you over at Padre's made me reconsider joining your community. I don't how much involvement I will have here, but I look forward to rediscovering the unique individuals you have gathered around you.
HONORABLE MENTION
Triggernometry - It was among the first four Locals that I joined but I think Francis and Konstantin were looking for something more. I am thankful for the people there that have drifted over to Padres. My favorite Brits come from Triggernometry!
Russel Brand - Lots of posting, seems like really good folk, just not enough time to explore there.
Matt Fradd – Good stuff, especially for active Catholics, just not enough time to spread around.
Today marks the three hundred and thirtieth birthday of the Frenchman François-Marie Arouet, better known by his nom de plume, Voltaire (1694-1778).
Born into a bourgeois family during the reign of Louis XIV, the “Sun King” (r. 1643-1715), Voltaire suffered tragedy at a young age when his mother died. Never close with his father or brother, Voltaire exhibited a rebellious attitude toward authority from his youth. His brilliant mind was fostered in the care of the Society of Jesus, who introduced him to the joys of literature and theater. Despite his later criticisms against the Church, Voltaire, throughout his life, fondly recalled his dedicated Jesuit teachers.
Although he spent time as a civil servant in the French embassy to the Hague, Voltaire’s main love was writing—an endeavor where he excelled in various genres, including poetry, which led to his appointment as the royal court poet for King Louis XV. Widely recognized as one of the greatest French writers, and even hyperbolically referred to by ...

Good Morning, Digital Neighbors, and Blessed Sunday to one and all!
Sundays are for gratitude, and few things impact our lives more than intentional gratitude. It is not enough to say you are blessed or that you are fortunate; the actual naming of our blessings plants them deep in the heart, transforming us as persons rather than leaving us with the bland “thankful for everything.”
Two years ago, I wrote this reflection on resentment and gratitude. In light of the celebration of our nation’s 250th anniversary, I think it’s worth revisiting. We can choose to be among those who are thankful for America or among those who find nothing but fault with it.
You cannot build a future based on resentments of the past. You cannot grow if you are mired in the injuries of yesterday. God and life do not call us to ignore such experiences, but He constantly calls us forward—to be more, to receive more, to live more. Heal those wounds and work through those injuries, but do not be defined by them, and do not try to ...
