Good Morning, Digital Neighbors! Happy Thursday all you visitors, patrons, and participants Rubin Report, Phetasy and Padre’s. Another quote for this fourth day of Autumn, something beautiful to remind us of life’s bounty and a small musing from your friendly digital neighborhood friar. Ok, I am not really a friar, I am a diocesan priest, but I think Bridget Phetasy started calling me that because of the monk looking at his cell phone that is my logo. Either way, I hope you have a good day ahead of you full of the positively unexpected.
“My devotion to Autumn is engraved on my very being. I am in awe of her. I will sit in the stands and cheer her on in life as her most ardent admirer. I know I will always love her in the same way I know I'll always need oxygen.” ― Laura Nowlin, If Only I Had Told Her
I am so thankful that I live in a place with seasons even if I am often tempted to complain about the weather. I do enjoy the variety it brings to life while also ensuring a sense of the sameness. Within that pleasant tension so much beauty, surprise and joy can unfold. I pray that you find your own balance of variety and sameness that delivers you from the self-inflicted pains of boredom while at the same time not throwing you into the hands of stressful change. I am blessed, most days I can find my zone and abide in it. Peace and prayers to you.
