Good morning, digital neighbors! Happy Wednesday! The good blend of humor and discussion was the open door to my following Dave Rubin from Patreon to Locals. It was probably the best decision with social media that I have ever made. It was in 2018 that the censorship issues with Patreon bubbled up and I stopped using that platform to support anyone. Joining Locals opened the door to more humor and more meaningful discussions with different nuances. Each community had its own vibe and subtle expression of free speech and the issues that often appeared in the threads. Over the years I have supported The Rubin Report, Phetasy, Triggernometry, Coffee with Scott Adams, and a few others. Most of them I did not join to offer commentary and conversation but wanted to support their content. I mainly hung my hat at RR, Phetasy, and Triggernometry, and I am thankful for the people those communities brought into my life. More laughter and more meaningful conversations are a blessing. Coffee Talk over at Padre’s is pretty much that every day. Come join us! Anyway, off to the quotes and something beautiful from nature.

Although he spent time as a civil servant in the French embassy to the Hague, Voltaire’s main love was writing—an endeavor where he excelled in various genres, including poetry, which led to his appointment as the royal court poet for King Louis XV. Widely recognized as one of the greatest French writers, and even hyperbolically referred to by ...
