Good morning, Digital Neighbors! Happy and blessed Sunday to all!
Sundays are for gratitude, and I try my best to have that intention overflow into the rest of my week. It is not easy when you have a daily consumption of the news—even when you try to be as selective as possible in your viewing. More on that tomorrow; my babbling this morning was heading into TL;DR territory.
When my consumption of the current chapter of “How much worse can it get?” starts to wear on me, prayers like this one bring me back to the bigger picture and its sanity. I pray you have a day of gratitude, grounding, or whatever you call it in your week—a day to step out of the stream of gloom to reconnect with the bigger realities of life: God (if you believe in one), family, friends, nature, the arts, or something less contaminated by the spirit of the day. Prayer and peace, digital neighbors.
LET NOTHING DISTURB YOU
Let nothing disturb you;

The one who has God
finds that nothing is lacking.
God alone suffices.
