If you don't have time to do it right, when will you have time to do it over? — John Wooden
Time is the coin of your life. It is the only coin you have, and only you can determine how it will be spent. Be careful lest you let other people spend it for you. — Carl Sandburg
Until you value yourself, you won't value your time. Until you value your time, you will not do anything with it. — M. Scott Peck
So during those first moments of the day, which are yours and yours alone, you can circumvent these boundaries and concentrate fully on spiritual matters. And this gives you the opportunity to plan the time management of the entire day. — Menachem Mendel Schneerson
Good morning, digital neighbors! Happy Monday to all you fine souls scattered across Locals and Substack. Today’s quotes are about time and how you and I choose to spend it. I’ve grown tired of telling myself that I don’t have time for __________. That blank is often something good, worthwhile, and meaningful — but not easy to begin or sustain. Good intentions and a bucket of crap still leave you with a bucket of crap. The doing matters. Time is rarely the real issue. The real issue is effort and sustained discipline. The real issue is deciding which distractions and comforts I’m willing to set aside to begin something new.
Will today be different for you and me? Will I begin something new, or will I return to something that once brought deeper joy and meaning to my life than distraction and consumption? I don’t know. But if you’re mulling over making an intentional change in your life, you have my prayers and encouragement. And if I don’t manage that change myself, I hope I at least stop pretending I don’t have enough time when what I really lack is enough desire. None of us needs the lies that please us, and life is full of them. Happy Monday, dear neighbors. Spend your time well and make the most of this day before you.

His brilliant mind was fostered in the care of the Society of Jesus, who introduced him to the joys of literature and theater. Despite his later criticisms against the Church, Voltaire, throughout his life, fondly recalled his dedicated Jesuit teachers.
Although he spent time as a civil servant in the French embassy to the Hague, Voltaire’s main love was writing—an endeavor where he excelled in various genres, including poetry, which led to his appointment as the royal court poet for King Louis XV. Widely recognized as one of the greatest French writers, and even hyperbolically referred to by ...
Happy National Best Friends Day Y'all!
I strongly suggest combining celebrations for this with National Name Your Poison Day and National Jelly-Filled Doughnut Day. Think I'll have to wash a custard doughnut down with a cold beer later.
