The world needs anger. The world often continues to allow evil because it isn't angry enough. - Bede Jarret
Do not teach your children never to be angry; teach them how to be angry. - Lyman Abbot
Anger is given to us for the protection of that which we love, not the destruction of that which we oppose. Unbridle, unfocused anger is so destructive to both its target and its wielder. It seems that we live in a age of perpetual petty, selfish and too easily provoked anger.
Integrated anger, thoughtful anger, can lead us to heroic sacrifice. It can give us to courage to fight through initial failure and impossible situations. Healthy anger can enable us to keep our eye on the goal and strive for it even if the attainment of it is beyond our own time.
I guess many don't cultivate any appreciation for healthy anger, it slips into unbridled and selfish anger too easily. It turns into irrational rage and animalistic destruction. Is it better to never risk anger if one is too easily tempted or too immature to master their anger? I say no, but be mindful of the many who use anger for selfish ends. Don't keep their company unless you want to become a slave to the same herd-thinking and group-feeling that will allow you to embrace what you once thought was unimaginable and repulsive.

Despite his later criticisms against the Church, Voltaire, throughout his life, fondly recalled his dedicated Jesuit teachers.
Although he spent time as a civil servant in the French embassy to the Hague, Voltaire’s main love was writing—an endeavor where he excelled in various genres, including poetry, which led to his appointment as the royal court poet for King Louis XV.
