The world needs anger. The world often continues to allow evil because it isn't angry enough. - Bede Jarret
Do not teach your children never to be angry; teach them how to be angry. - Lyman Abbot
Anger is given to us for the protection of that which we love, not the destruction of that which we oppose. Unbridle, unfocused anger is so destructive to both its target and its wielder. It seems that we live in a age of perpetual petty, selfish and too easily provoked anger.
Integrated anger, thoughtful anger, can lead us to heroic sacrifice. It can give us to courage to fight through initial failure and impossible situations. Healthy anger can enable us to keep our eye on the goal and strive for it even if the attainment of it is beyond our own time.
I guess many don't cultivate any appreciation for healthy anger, it slips into unbridled and selfish anger too easily. It turns into irrational rage and animalistic destruction. Is it better to never risk anger if one is too easily tempted or too immature to master their anger? I say no, but be mindful of the many who use anger for selfish ends. Don't keep their company unless you want to become a slave to the same herd-thinking and group-feeling that will allow you to embrace what you once thought was unimaginable and repulsive.
Blatteroon - 18th Century English. A person who talks or boasts incessantly and constantly.
Thank you for indulging this blatteroon and his morning ramblings. I hope you have a great day my friends! Autumn photo - Red Barn Farm, Weston, MO
Thank you @MinaH for the posting by Neil Oliver, scroll down to find it. It is worth the 10 minutes it takes. I offer my feedback on on the issue of trust and forgiveness.
It used to be the thing talked about 20 years ago, do we now embrace it?
Good Morning Digital Neighbors & Frozen Friends! 7 Fahrenheit here in wintery New Melle. Nothing too long this morning, when it is this cold outside the house drops down into the low 60's and sometimes mid 50's if it lasts too long. A space heater and closed doors keeps where I inhabit a bit warmer. I have nothing to complain about except when I have to venture into the world. How about a limmerick? Most I know are far worse than this one. Enjoy! Happy Thursday Friends!
Bill's snowman was missing a snout
For carrots in shops had run out.
A sausage sufficed
But as it de-iced
Its purpose was cast into doubt!

Dues to changes @LOCALS this community is no longer a free community if you want to participate. I believe you can lurk about and read things, but you will be unable to post without signing up for $2.00 monthly charge. Since this changed has happened, I want all of you to know that any funds that come as a result of this community will be given to charity. I came here for community - not for profit.
The two charities I want to sponsor at the beginning will be our St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry that services our New Melle Community. The other charity will...
