Good Morning Digital Neighbors & Friends! Happy Wednesday Refugees, Phamily & Triggeratti! All of the rest of ya as well, but I will keep my words brief. Yesterday was a good day, sad but filled with meaning. Meaningful days are so important in an age of unapparelled superficiality and vapid distractions of which I have participated willingly and unwillingly. There were plenty of tears for Jackson as he passed, many good sharing of memories and laughs and more gratitude at having found such a good dog. I leave you with a quotes and photos. Born into a bourgeois family during the reign of Louis XIV, the “Sun King” (r. 1643-1715), Voltaire suffered tragedy at a young age when his mother died. Never close with his father or brother, Voltaire exhibited a rebellious attitude toward authority from his youth. His brilliant mind was fostered in the care of the Society of Jesus, who introduced him to the joys of literature and theater. Despite his later criticisms against the Church, Voltaire, throughout his life, fondly recalled his dedicated Jesuit teachers.
