Ultracrepidarian Noun | uhl-truh-krep-i-dair-ee-uhn | Nineteenth century. English. A person with opinions on subjects beyond their knowledge

Welcome to the playground of the Ultracrepidarians - the world wide interwebs!! I know it is not the other newly minted Ultras -they are out there and they seem to relish their ultra title. While I never considered myself MAGA mainly because of cult of personality political movements and the religious fervor that can at times accompany it, I did vote for the MAGA-King and would happily vote for him again against President Veggie-brain or Vice President Google Auto-complete. I am not sure I want him to run again, for a variety of reasons, but I wouldn't hesitate to vote for him. I hope he has grown in perspective four years without losing his fight and a willingness to burn the swamp and its allies to the ground. I did buy a MAGA hat after the whole Nick Sandman incident in support of the young man and to give my finger to the CABAL. BUT, BUT, BUT we are not here to talk Ultra-MAGA but Ultracrepidarians.

Momma Peggy said everyone has an opinion and a butthole, and most of the time both stink. We love and miss Pokey Momma. Long before I knew the definition of such fancy words to drop at keggers, we all knew the regular old-time bull-shiters who knew enough to be initially correct but basically wrong. With the advent of the inter-webs and the creation of bulletin boards back in the late 80's & early 90's you could have communal engagement with all kinds of people and self-appointed expertise.

The inter-webs were the back porch bug light for so many lonely ultracrepidarians. Weird ass Adam now had a potential audience and WTF Eve could find a friend with identical sympathies. The Ultracreps used to inhabit virtual bulletin board, chatrooms and other early social medias exclusively, it was their playground. Many have matured, morphed or mutated and acquired degrees in journalism. 😁😜

I could well be a pre-infected ultracrepidarian, but if you have even a small amount of humility, and willingness to admit - YOU DON"T KNOW - you probably aren't one. If you are willing to look beyond your biases and at least occasionally call them into question, you probably aren't one. IF however you are convinced because you know, you have "inside" information, you probably are in the larva stage and hopefully someone will deliver you from the final metamorphosis. Well enough fun with the Ultras and their knowledge, have a great day ADD Irregulars, Refugees. Phamily and all you other fun souls at Padre's, Rubin Report and Phetasy!!!!

Voltaire's birthday 11-21-1694 - A brief essay by Steve Weidenkopf

Today marks the three hundred and thirtieth birthday of the Frenchman François-Marie Arouet, better known by his nom de plume, Voltaire (1694-1778).

Born into a bourgeois family during the reign of Louis XIV, the “Sun King” (r. 1643-1715), Voltaire suffered tragedy at a young age when his mother died. Never close with his father or brother, Voltaire exhibited a rebellious attitude toward authority from his youth. His brilliant mind was fostered in the care of the Society of Jesus, who introduced him to the joys of literature and theater. Despite his later criticisms against the Church, Voltaire, throughout his life, fondly recalled his dedicated Jesuit teachers.

Although he spent time as a civil servant in the French embassy to the Hague, Voltaire’s main love was writing—an endeavor where he excelled in various genres, including poetry, which led to his appointment as the royal court poet for King Louis XV. Widely recognized as one of the greatest French writers, and even hyperbolically referred to by ...
