Good Morning Digital Neighbors! Happy Saturday Friends & Refugees, Early Birds & Later Dayers, Conversants & Lurkers, Phamily, Dawn Patrol & Misfits, Triggeratti, Fascinating People & Merry Bigots, ADD Irregulars & WSN Vagabonds, Seekers of Civility & Sanity, and finally all you Common Sensers & Thoughtful Questioners at Iversen. It's a rather long list of Local Neighbors, but they are all good communities with their own vibes and life. I usually only have time to visit them in the morning as I wander around the inter-webs and then drop in at Padre's throughout the day to support the home crew. There is plenty of interest, just not enough time to visit, listen or engage with all the things you would like to. It is a good problem to have when you have an abundance of good communities to participate. Time for a Curmudgeon rant on one of my hobbies.

Born into a bourgeois family during the reign of Louis XIV, the “Sun King” (r. 1643-1715), Voltaire suffered tragedy at a young age when his mother died. Never close with his father or brother, Voltaire exhibited a rebellious attitude toward authority from his youth. His brilliant mind was fostered in the care of the Society of Jesus, who introduced him to the joys of literature and theater. Despite his later criticisms against the Church, Voltaire, throughout his life, fondly recalled his dedicated Jesuit teachers.
