A fun poem by Rudyard Kipling I am thankful for so many good neighbors in life and the many good ones I have found at Locals.
The man that is open of heart to his neighbour,
And stops to consider his likes and dislikes,
His blood shall be wholesome whatever his labour,
His luck shall be with him whatever he strikes.
The Splendour of Morning shall duly possess him,
That he may not be sad at the falling of eve.
And, when he has done with mere living, God bless him!
A many shall sigh, and one Woman shall grieve!
But he that is costive of soul toward his fellow,
Through the ways, and the works, and the woes of this life,
Him food shall not fatten, him drink shall not mellow;
And his innards shall brew him perpetual strife.
His eye shall be blind to God's Glory above him;
His ear shall be deaf to Earth's Laughter around;
His Friends and his Club and his Dog shall not love him;
And his Widow shall skip when he goes underground!

Hey @SEPTUAGENARIAN, hope they make you smile
Thank you @MinaH for the posting by Neil Oliver, scroll down to find it. It is worth the 10 minutes it takes. I offer my feedback on on the issue of trust and forgiveness.
Good Morning Neighbors from across the Local's landscape! Happy Sunday Refugees, Early Birds, Later Dayers, Conversants, and Lurkers! Hey there Phamily, Dawn Patrol, Day Walkers, Supporters, Members and Visitors! Hello again Triggeratti, Fascinating People and Beautiful Bigots! I am sure there are other wonderous Local's communities with their own vibe and rhythm, but there is only so much time to visit even the ones I favor.
A late start to the day, I was content to listen to the Dark Horse Podcast before hoping further online. I am sure I will be posting it later at Padre's. Some really good discussion about the gaslighting of the last two years. Whatever the day ahead of you holds, I hope you discover joy, or more likely bring joy to the day ahead of you. A few quotes on joy for perspective on a Sunday. Have a blessed day my friends!
Long but very worthwhile analysis of the gaslighting of the last two years and a path forward after the narrative collapses, or more likely pivots as is often the case.
Welcome guests and digital neighbors! I hope you enjoy your visits here. May this little spot become a haven for those who want to connect with others away from the toxicity of many sites. Locals is a great experience for me and I hope it is a good experience for you. Any community is only as good as its members, so please see the community "About" section for guidelines as to what I hope will help us enjoy our visits here.😇
Dues to changes @LOCALS this community is no longer a free community if you want to participate. I believe you can lurk about and read things, but you will be unable to post without signing up for $2.00 monthly charge. Since this changed has happened, I want all of you to know that any funds that come as a result of this community will be given to charity. I came here for community - not for profit.
The two charities I want to sponsor at the beginning will be our St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry that services our New Melle Community. The other charity will...
