Good morning digital neighbors. Happy Thursday and August friends across Locals! When I first became active on Local’s in May of 2020 one of my morning habits became posting over on Rubin Report and Phetasy. Soon I ventured on Trigonometry and eventually decided to open my own community over at Padre’s. All the ADD Irregulars and Curmudgeons at Padre’s know this and many in the other communities I have visited over the last few years. I am still thankful for Locals as a place for connection with other individuals who respect freedom and diversity of thought. Each community has its own vibe, some are very active with the Content Creator being very present and engaged, others the CC is more like the absentee landlord collecting the monthly rent. Your experience may vary. Either way I hope you find a place worthy of your time and interest.
After faith, laughter is probably the most important disposition of the heart that I can cultivate. Playful humor, laughing at ourselves, chuckling at life are so important to keeping what is serious in perspective. Without laughter, the serious become too much of a crisis. Without laughter that dangerous sense of inflated self-importance creeps into the ego and begins its work of souring the soul. Ideas and attitudes are important and vital to the wellbeing of society and culture, but without humor we can become consumed by those ideas and attitudes to the degree where self-questioning and curious doubt never dawns on one’s awareness.
Have a great Thursday Digital Neighbors! God bless all you ADD Irregulars, Humorous Curmudgeons and Weird Shit Niche Aficionados at Padre’s! Have a great day Friends & Refugees at the Rubin Report, Phamily & Misfits at Phetasy and all you Awakening Wonders at Russel Brand.
“The one important thing I have learned over the years is the difference between taking one's work seriously and taking one's self seriously. The first is imperative and the second is disastrous.” Margot Fonteyn

His brilliant mind was fostered in the care of the Society of Jesus, who introduced him to the joys of literature and theater. Despite his later criticisms against the Church, Voltaire, throughout his life, fondly recalled his dedicated Jesuit teachers.
Although he spent time as a civil servant in the French embassy to the Hague, Voltaire’s main love was writing—an endeavor where he excelled in various genres, including poetry, which led to his appointment as the royal court poet for King Louis XV. Widely recognized as one of the greatest French writers, and even hyperbolically referred to by ...
