Good Morning, digital neighbors! Yesterday was a nice flashback from my transfer in 2023. I remember my time at Immaculate Heart with gratitude and overflowing fondness, and I am so thankful for where God has led me to this moment. Well, since it is Monday, here are a few quotes to prime the pump, more nuggets from the Forbes Leadership Library and the little book on wisdom:
“What is defeat? Nothing but education; nothing but the first step to something better.” — Wendell Phillips
“For everything you have missed, you have gained something else.” — Ralph Waldo Emerson
“A man begins cutting his wisdom teeth the first time he bites off more than he can chew.” — Herb Caen
“One who fears failure limits his activities. Failure is only the opportunity to begin again more intelligently.” — Henry Ford
I think many of us who are trying to cultivate an interior life and a more reflective way of living have come to realize that we have often grown more from our failures than from our easy successes. I don’t know what the right mix of failure and success is to keep each individual motivated and focused, but too much of either seems to crush the soul. Repeated failures often push people toward despair, while easy successes can lead to boredom and distortions of pride. Having someone or something to help you find the workable balance in your life is essential to making the best out of failure and not being seduced by easy success. Happy Monday, my dear digital neighbors!

Despite his later criticisms against the Church, Voltaire, throughout his life, fondly recalled his dedicated Jesuit teachers.
Although he spent time as a civil servant in the French embassy to the Hague, Voltaire’s main love was writing—an endeavor where he excelled in various genres, including poetry, which led to his appointment as the royal court poet for King Louis XV. Widely recognized as one of the greatest French writers, and even hyperbolically referred to by ...
Happy National Best Friends Day Y'all!
I strongly suggest combining celebrations for this with National Name Your Poison Day and National Jelly-Filled Doughnut Day. Think I'll have to wash a custard doughnut down with a cold beer later.
